Welcome to the Adelaide Elementary School Library

Our goal is to ensure students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. 

Mrs. Cook, our librarian, and Mrs. Ciotta, our library assistant are here to help you and your student. 
Our door is between 8:30 AM and 3:50 PM. 

The Battle of the Books competition is a voluntary intramural reading competition based on quality books that have been nominated for WLMA’s Sasquatch Award and the PNLA’s Young Reader’s Choice Award.

Adelaide’s School Competition: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Adelaide Gymnasium

Federal Way Public Schools’ District Competition:   Wednesday April 7, 2010, 7:00 PM at Decatur High School

 

Parents: There may be titles on the Battle of the Books list you do not wish your student to read either because of subject or content. Please discuss this with your student and have them request another student on their team read the book for the competition.  There is no requirement that students read a specific book.  But, questions will be asked about each of the books on our reading list.
