Hello! I love teaching at Camelot Elementary ! Besides teaching, being
outdoors is my other passion . My husband and I recently purchased
property in Winthrop , WA where we hike and bike in summer months and do
a lot of Nordic and alpine skiing during the winter months. It is one of
our favorite places to go and eventually we plan to build a passive
solar home there. I grew up in a very active family where spending time
in the outdoors was a passion that carried over to my adult life. As a
family we biked around the Olympic Penninsula when I was 10 and toured
Europe on bikes when I was 12. Later, our family climbed most of the
major mountain peaks in WA including a summit climb on Mt. Rainier. In
my 20’s and 30’s I ran and completed the Seattle Goodwill Games Marathon
, Seattle Half Marathon, and did some rock climbing in CA, OR, WA, and
Canada . Now in my 40’s I enjoy Nordic skiing, sailing, walking the
trails near my home, and more recently doing some gardening and home
improvement projects . As I begin my 22nd year at Camelot I look back on
an amazing journey of discovery, learning , and building relationships !
Camelot is truly a magical place where I continue to grow as a person
and a professional.
