Hi, I am Karena Hadler. I was born and raised in the Seattle area. After high school I attended the Early Childhood Education program at North Seattle Community College and in 1997 I graduated from Central Washington University (GO WILDCATS!) with my B.A. in Elementary Education and additional endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. After graduation, I began my teaching career here in Federal Way as a special education teacher at Sacajawea Junior High. In 2001, I decided to follow my passion for teaching young children with emotional/behavioral needs and was fortunate to become a member of the Camelot community. Since then I have completed my Masters in Education and changed my special education position to one of teaching young children with a variety of special needs. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and an amazing son (born in March 2006). When we have time, we love to spend weekends at Ocean Shores and take Sunday drives exploring the beautiful scenery in the area. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, swimming, horseback riding, and reality television! But most of all, my favorite thing to do is to watch my son experience the world around him.
