Our band program at Decatur High School is designed to help students become better facilitators on their instruments, to develop a deeper appreciation for the arts, to improve cooperation/communication skills, and to prepare them for success in life after high school.  What you get out of the program is based on the effort students put into the program.  The expectations for this program are high and it’s up to everyone to work as a team to solve daily challenges and reach common goals.  Over the years, students past and present have demonstrated a tremendous amount of pride, spirit and enthusiasm for this program.
