- WOIS( Washington Occupational Information Services ) is an online career information service "that researches and distributes information about Washington careers, schools and training programs."
Decatur's Career Center subscribes to these services for our students. Please visit the Career Center to get our site key (WOIS) and username and password (CareerCruising) to use at home.
Other sites of interest :
- www.whatsnext4me.com highlights careers in the Food and Hospitality industry. This site is also available in spanish.
- www.chef2chef.net/culinary-institute/ lists culinary schools by state and city and includes some scholarship information.
- www.discovernursing.com contains infomation on careers in nursing as well as schools and scholarship information.
- www.workforceexplorer.com Allows students to explore career opportunities in many fields including apprenticeship programs and miltary options. The site is sponsered by the Washington State Employment Security Department. I
- www.collegeboard.com has information on colleges as well as a College MatchMaker to help you sort out your college choices. Collegeboard is also the site you go to register for the SAT and has scholarship information.
- www.princetonreview.com /college/ has information on careers, colleges, scholarships and its "Counselor-O-Matic" to match you with colleges.
- www.petersons.com has information on preparing for college and financial aid.
- www.Collegebasics.com offers college admissions tips and insider secrets about planing for college, applying for college, financial aid, admissionsessays, college interviews, and much more.
