October 8, 2008 – Daily Announcements

Friday:             No School – Teacher In-Service Day

 

Reminder – Students that leave campus at any time without checking out through the Attendance Office or the Nurse’s office will be unexcused.  All schools in the Federal Way school district have a “closed” campus.  That includes the best school in the district – Federal Way High School.  Once on campus, you cannot leave until the school day is over, unless you check out through the Attendance Office with your parental approval.

 

Attention Juniors – it is time for the PSAT!  The test is on Wednesday, October 15th, during the school day.  The cost for the test is $13.00 and you need to sign up with Mrs. Racus in Bookkeeping by October 10th.  If you need a fee waiver for the test fee, please see Ms. Boone in the College and Career Center in the Library.

 

Seniors – if you choose to use an outside photographer to take your photo for the yearbook, the picture should be submitted to room 402 by Friday, October 10th.  The picture can also be submitted on CD.  Finally, if you would like to have your picture or CD returned, please write your name, Advisory or your phone number on the back of the photo or on the CD.  Otherwise we will recycle it.  Grad ads are due Friday, February 13, 2009.

 

Are you the class clown?  Do you crave the spotlight?  Do you drop funky-fresh freestyle rhymes?  If so, then come on down and audition for this year’s first drama production.  Actors, jokers and freestyle rappers are needed for the improve show.  Auditions to be held in the Little Theater from 2:30-4:00 on October 14th, 15th and 16th.  Auditions are open to all!

 

Native American Club is meeting today on at 2:15 in room 505.  All are welcome – you don’t need to be Native to come.  So Eagles, spread your wings and fly to Native American Club, Wednesday at 2:15 in room 505.

 

Attention Eagle Wrestlers – There is a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 8th, in Mr. Ortenzo’s room, room 111.  This meeting should last about 30 minutes.  Please do not miss this meeting.  Contact Coach Mango if you have any questions.

 

Do you have a special picture of you and your car that you would like to see in the yearbook?  Bring it to room 402.

 

Are you into motocross, BMX, skiing, snowboarding or any other extreme sport?  If so, bring in your pictures to room 402 tio be put in the yearbook.  You don’t have much time, so hurry and bring in those pictures by October 24.

 

Chess Club meets Wednesdays right after school in room 211, Mr. Heinlen’s room.

 

Skateboarding is not allowed at Federal Way High School.  Any skateboards brought to school need to be secured into a backpack or locked inside a locker.  If your skateboard is not secured to your backpack or locked in your locker, it will be taken by an administrator.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 

Filming Club – Do you admire actors and actresses?  Well, now it is your turn to act so others can admire you.  Come to room 302 for Filming Club in Mrs. Moran’s room.

 

The Eagle Girl Golfers won a very tight match, in difficult conditions, at Tapps Island last night.  The Eagles prevailed 41-40 over Auburn-Riverside.  The Eagles now stand at 5 and 4 in SPSL with one match remaining – Thursday at Northshore versus TJ.  Congratulations Eagles and good luck Thursday.

 

Key Club – We have a meeting today after school in the Little Theater.  Don’t forget to bring your friends and we will see you there.
