FWHS PTSA

Meeting was called to order at 7:00.

Minutes - May meeting minutes will be presented in November. Cathy was out sick.

2008-2009 Budget- Linda reviewed the budget. A motion was made and the budget was accepted as written.

Committee Reports –

Membership – We have approximately 60 members to date. Membership forms will be available at Arena Conferencing on September 29^th. Linda will be putting membership information in the staff boxes next week.

Reflections- The theme this year is “Wow!”. Forms were available at the meeting. Sandy Bjork will be contacting staff with information about the program. We will work hard this year at promoting this great program. Forms and information will also be on the FW website under the PTSA tab in the next 2 weeks.

Legislative Rep – Lots of information is available to anyone interested in being our rep.

Senior Party – Would love to get this started with a group of Senior Parents. If we are going to have a Senior Party the planning needs to start. Sandy Bjork will do flyers for the Senior parent meeting on Sept. 29^th and will send an email to as many senior parents as possible to get a committee together. Sandy will also contact TJ and Decatur as we believe they had their event together last year to see how that went.

Baccalaureate – Melody Edmiston is getting the date for this. Graduation is Sunday June 7^th and she is hoping to secure a location to have this on Thursday June 4^th.

Staff Appreciation – Each month we will have a theme and send treats one day during the month for our wonderful FW staff to enjoy. This month it will be on Oct. 10^th and our theme is “Fall”. Sandy will put up a sign Thanking our wonderful staff and put some Fall decorations on the tables in the lounge. We will send an email to members to send a treat for staff to enjoy.

Emergency Preparedness – Lorilee will check with Mr. Marr to see what we need to replenish our supplies.

Athletic Scholarship – 2300.00 is available. This is divided and used for all sports seasons.

New Business –

• FW PTSA Council Clothing Bank is in need of volunteers and donations. Contact Tina Moore at 253-569-5689 or Tom Skoda at 206-658-3409 if you would like to volunteer or have donations.
• PTSA meetings for the rest of the school year have been set. Our meetings will all be at 7:00 pm in the library. The dates are November 12^th, January 21^st,

March 4^th, and May 6^th.

Administrator Report – Mrs. Greibel was unable to attend. An upcoming events calendar was presented with the following information:
