Your student may be assigned a Student Learning Plan:
School districts are required to develop plans for students who did not meet
the reading, mathematics, and/or writing standards on their last WASL. The
plan is called a "Student Learning Plan" or an "SLP."
The SLP is created to help your teen continue to make progress in reading,
writing, and math so they are on track for high school graduation. The SLP
includes three parts; 1) Test scores from their last WASL, 2) Suggestions
for parents to improve their teen's skills, and 3) What the school might do
to help to improve the student's skills.
