Handbook- IV. Illness

Illness Policy
If your child is ill to the extent that it will be difficult for him/her to participate in the activities of a normal school day, they have a fever of 100 degrees or more, or are throwing up, it is best to keep the child home. We do not have adequate facilities to care for ill children, and space for supervising students whose parents wish they be kept in during recess is very limited as well.

When children become ill at school, the parent or designated person is called to pick them up. Please keep the office up to date with any telephone, address or work changes in case of your child’s illness or emergency. Remember we can only release your child to the people you have listed as emergency contact people on the yellow emergency card you completed in September.

It is district policy that a child with a fever of 100 degrees plus be kept home for 24 hours after a normal temperature is reached.
