Dean’s World

Hello and welcome to Nautilus K-8!
Welcome to the Dean of Students world!
I’m originally from Queens, New York, where most of my family still lives. I received by undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Queen College, City University of New York, my graduate degree in school administration and initial principal certificate from Gonzaga University, Spokane Washington.
As Dean of Students, my primary responsibility is the overall daily safety of our school and its members. A major element of this responsibility is ensuring our students feel safe in the classroom and in school so they can focus on learning.  Please let me know if I can support you or your child in this area.
At Nautilus, we start our day with a daily morning motivation message during the intercom announcements which creates a school-wide unity, enhances cooperation and strengthens relationships.

We build student character, cooperation, values and teamwork through our Trait of the Month and Navigator of the Month Program.  Each month we have a school-wide assembly highlighting a character trait for that month and recognizing students who are having an all around outstanding month!
The character traits are practiced in the classroom and on the playground.  Below are the recognized character traits for September through June.

Below are some of the areas in which I am actively involved as Dean of Students, but please feel free to contact any staff member to answer any questions or concerns you have.
