Community Service Learning Program (CSL)
Service learning combines service to the community with student learning in a way that improves both the student and the recipient of the service as well as to ensure equal focus on both the service being provided and the learning that is occurring. |

Expectations
Community Service requires an increase in the level of initiative, involvement, and learning as a student progresses from 6th to 10th grade. Along with the essay, the minimum hours of service are:

Community Service Essay
The essay should contain the following information:
•What motivated or inspired the student's project involvement
•The amount of time devoted to the project
•The impact their efforts had on both them and the community served
