Sukiyaki is one of my favorite main dishes. I like that you can add so many other ingredients and take out the ones you don't like and still come up with almost the same dish.

Ingredients:

2 tb sp. oil
1 lb. thinly sliced beef (Sukiyaki Beef)
2 large onions sliced
1 bunch of green onions
1 cup sliced mushrooms
6 leaves of Napa, sliced into 2 inch pieces
8 ounces of yam or rice noodles
1 cube of tofu cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes

Sauce:

1 cup soup stock (dashi)
2 tb sp. sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin

*optional: 4 eggs, 1 per person

Step By Step:
1. Slice Vegetables and arrange on a platter with the meat
2. Combined sauce by gently heating the dashi with sugar to dissolve. Add soy sauce and mirin. Set sauce aside until needed.
3. Add margarine to the skillet or pan so then the ingredients don't stick to the pan. Heat the Sukiyaki meat in a pan or skillet. Add a small amount of oil to the meat and brown some of the meat. Place the other ingredients into the pan and pour in the sauce.
4. Bring content to a boil and until tender.
5. If wanted, before you add the food to your dish, add a beaten egg with soy sauce. Then add the food to the individual dishes.
*** As you run out of food, take out additional food from the pan and put aside to then add more food into the pan. Add as necessary to how may guests.
