The following dates are scheduled as half-day late starts. All are on the last Wednesday of the month:

Meet Panther Lake’s new Principal and Assistant Principal

PaulaDear Panther Lake Community,

Welcome to our brand new school year. My name is Paula McPhee, and it is my great honor to be serving your school community as Panther Lake Elementary Principal for the 2015-16 school year. Our school has so many things to be proud of and I am looking forward to getting to know each and every student, as well as school parents and guardians. I believe that our strong school and home connection will make a huge difference in the success of your child. It is my promise that both myself and my school staff will do everything we can to help all children meet their grade level goals and reach beyond to accelerate learning.

This is my twenty-fifth year as an educator having served as a classroom teacher for 11 years, instructional coach for 11 years and principal 4 years. I am looking forward to Panther Lake’s continued focus on PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) systems that were started last year, the rigorous learning of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and the caring school community that we are building together.

An opportunity to meet me and our new Assistant Principal, David Couch, in August before school starts, will be announced soon.

Warmly,

Paula McPhee – Panther Lake Elementary Principal

DavidHi Panther Lake Families and Community,

My name is David Couch and I am so excited to be your new Assistant Principal. I look forward to making this a great school year by working with the students, families, and staff of Panther Lake. I have already heard about many of the great achievements of Panther Lake students and I look forward to continuing that work.

I come to Panther Lake from Rainier View Elementary where I have served as a teacher and Dean of Students for the past six years. I am committed to ensuring your child has the best academic and social support. I am looking forward to continuing our work with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and our Support Citizens.

Please feel free to stop by my office and say hello, as my door is always open! This will be a Safe, Kind, and Responsible year!
