Panther Lake’s Walk-A-Thon will be held on October 8th during the school day. The Walk-A-Thon is a fun way to raise money for field trips and special projects that happen throughout the school year. Students will be walking rain or shine, so make sure they have a jacket and comfortable walking shoes.
Pledge forms were sent home with students on September 24th. Our goal is to have every child get enough sponsors to raise at least $35. Students that raise money earn fun prizes! Questions about the Walk-A-Thon can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your student’s class assignment will be on Parent Vue. If you have not already set up your Parent Vue account for your child you will need to in order to see their class assignment. Please remember that class assignments can be changed if circumstances require it. Click here for Parent Vue directions. If you no longer have the letter sent by the district with the activation key code please email email@example.com include your student’s name and their ID number. Your student’s ID card is on their report card. You will be given an activation code in a return email.
Welcome Back! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. The first day of school for 1st to 5th grade is Wednesday, September 3rd. First day for Kindergarten is September 8th. Teachers and staff will be on campus directing students where to go on the first day. Fifth graders will be in our new portable that is located in the back of the school, by the lower field. The FWPS is seeking parents and community members interested in serving on the Instructional Materials Committee. This committee:
1) Reviews requests for District adoptions of district-wide basic instructional materials and make recommendations to the Superintendent, and
2) Reviews requests for review of currently District approved and utilized instructional materials and make recommendations to the Superintendent.
The committee will meet as needed, but no less than quarterly.
Committee members must be willing to serve for a two year period of time.
Interested parents and community members need to submit a letter of interest to Dr. Christine Corbley at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 15, 2012. New members will be contacted not later than November 21st.
