Finding the BooksSearch for Panther Lake Accelerated Reader Books by Title, Author, or Book Level About Accelerated ReaderWith this program, the students choose a book to read that is in their reading level (reading levels are determined by taking the district's STAR test). Books are read at the student's own pace. When the student finishes reading their book, they take a short, objective quiz on the computer. The computer reveals how many questions the student answered correctly. The quiz results assure the teacher that the student has read the book and understands what they have read. Finally, both the student and teacher receive reports on the student's reading progress. Reading points, based on the book's length, reading level, and number of correct answers, offer an objective measure of reading practice.
