ART CLUB this year will meet for one hour after school on Thursdays. Mrs. Hawkins, art teacher at SAC will be presenting the activity. Past years' projects included puppet making, painting landscapes, and fimo clay bead making.
ART CLUB is for any Sacajawea student who wants to be artistically creative when he/she can't take an art class during the regular school day. It is also open to any student who just wants to do MORE art.
The Sacajawea Band program consists of a variety of ensembles, including Sixth Grade Band, Seventh Grade Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band, an auditioned, before-school ensemble. The bands perform at numerous concerts, festivals, assemblies and contests throughout the year.

Sac currently has four choirs. Sixth Grade Choir, Seventh Grade Choir, Concert Choir and Vocal Ensemble. Choirs rehearse daily and perform several times a year, including an annual tour of Sacajawea's feeder elementary schools. Vocal Ensemble is a small, auditioned choir that rehearses before school two days a week. Auditions for Vocal Ensemble will be held in September. The computer lab is available after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to work on an assignment or to do research on the Internet.
The Drama Club is looking for students who are interested in writing, acting, dancing, drawing, talking, have good organizational skills, and/or like to direct others, etc. Drama Club meets right after school every Monday in Room 404.

Honor Society: Mr. Victor, Advisor
Sacajawea's Honor Society students have achieved academically and enjoy helping their community. They have also ranked high on the Knowledge Master Open Competition and are a group that Sac is very proud of. Honor Society is open to both 7th and 8th graders. Membership applications are available in March for the following school year.

Leadership is one of the key factors in maintaining the tradition of excellence at Sacajawea. The Leadership Class consists of ASB, class, and activity representatives. Here, the future leaders of tomorrow have the responsibility of planning the school budget and organizing major school functions like dances and assemblies. Sacajawea's leadership program is known for its organization and effectiveness. Leadership meets Tuesdays and Thursdays before school.

Student Store: Mr. Harpel, Advisor
The student store is looking for a few good students who have great math skills, outgoing personalities and are dependable, hard workers to run the student store during 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunches. Applications will be made available in the Main Office beginning the 1st day we return to school.
WEB (Welcome Everybody Back or Where Everyone Belongs) is an orientation/mentoring program to help incoming sixth grade students get acquainted with Sacajawea Middle School. Selected Eighth grade students work together to make our new sixth graders feel at home here at Sac. They lead activities on Sixth Grade Orientation Day, as well as plan activities, like Movie Nights or dances, for 6th graders throughout the school year.
Recruiting for next year's WEB leaders begins in the spring- if you are a seventh grader interested in helping next year's sixth graders, listen carefully for announcements that explain the application process.

After school, a group of dedicated and motivated students come together to prepare the annual for Sacajawea's students. The annual staff works diligently and effectively with each other, meeting nearly everyday after school, to preserve the memories of the school year.
Parents of student athletes and other extra-curricular activity participants are encouraged to contribute their digital photographs to the yearbook. Contact Mrs. Stultz for more information.
