SEQUOYAH TRAVEL CARD

All athletes are required to have a current physical on file, completed and signed parent participation form (naming health/accident insurance and policy number), completed and signed travel card, $15 ASB membership and be fine free. In addition, athletes are required to maintain a good discipline record and meet grade requirements as outlined in the FWPS Rights & Responsibilities Handbook.

 Season 1:  Football, Girl’s Fast Pitch and Cross Country begins 9/5/12
 Season 2:  Wrestling and Girl’s Basketball  begins 11/5/12
 Season 3:  Gymnastics  and Boy’s Basketball begins 2/4/13                     
 Season 4:  Girl’s Volleyball, Boy’s Baseball and Track begins  4/8/13       


Fees

$70 for varsity and junior varsity athletic participation each season ($210 max per year). $30 each season if you qualify for free/reduced lunches and you have a current, completed, and signed Release of Free and Reduced Information on file, ($90 max per year). $30 for C-Team girls and boys Basketball per season.

Football, Cross Country, Wrestling, Gymnastics and Track are NO CUT sports. All fees must be paid  by 12:15pm the day preceding the first contest of the season in order for the student to be eligible for  competition. Students are not eligible to participate in any games until this fee is paid. Students who have not paid their participation fee by the second contest of the season will not be allowed to continue turning out for the sport.

Scholarships

There are limited scholarships available. Please see Mrs. Hamashima in our finance office or call 253-945-3672. Completed scholarship paperwork must be on file with
Mrs. Hamashima no later than 12:15pm the day preceding the first contest of the season.

6th Grade

Due to WIAA regulations, 6th graders may only participate in cross country, C team basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, and track.

Ms. Vallieres, our athletic director, will be collecting and signing off athletic paperwork on August 30th, during Forms turn in/Schedule pick up. Athletic questions may be directed to Ms. Vallieres at 253-945-3687 or email at lvallier@fwps.org.
