On Thursday morning, January 31st, the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) notified school districts in Western Region to "hold" beef products from one of their suppliers for school lunch programs. 

Since beef products were not being served in elementary schools on Thursday, we contacted secondary schools, and immediately removed all beef items. As a precaution, we will not be serve beef products in school lunches until we receive a full release and direction from the USDA. 

Our February menu were printed prior to the USDA "hold" and beef products are listed. We are substituting other foods (such as chicken etc) on those days.
