Message from
the Principal
Northwest College Preparatory Academy is the smallest academy and prides itself on providing academic and social support, and delivering parents with a communication bridge from home to school. The small size of the academy allows for more personal connections between teachers, students, and parents.
There is a NWCP Care Team that plays an important role in strengthening those connections. During weekly meetings, NWCP teachers and administrators meet to talk about students' progress. We develop plans to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially. We meet with students, parents, and guardians when necessary. Care Team is part of the essence of the small schools framework, in which the staff of NWCP take great pride. We encourage every student to be all they can be.
NWCP provides students with the opportunity to take AVID as an elective. The AVID program provides students with further support in their goal to go to college. NWCP has the expectation that every student will work hard and stay focused on their goals, that every teacher will appropriately challenge and support students, and that every parent will be involved in their child's education.
We believe that every student can succeed academically, every day, on their path to college.
