Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year. By now I have gotten a chance to have many of the AP US History students in the past two years. I look forward to having them in class again and for those that I do not know, I hope to get to know them quickly.

AP US History (APUSH) is a rigorous, yet rewarding, year long class. Studies have shown that students who take AP classes, will have greater success in college. I will share some of these statistics with parents and students in the near future.

Because of the nature of this class, students must be self motivated, timely and dedicated to the course work. On average, I will see students 2.5 times a week and students are expected to complete readings and assignments on time. No late work will be accepted to ensure that students are current with the content. Please try to limit absences from 2nd period as this will have a drastic impact on your student's grade since they will not be present for notes or assigments meant to help them process their readings.
