Beamer High School Health Guidelines
Guidelines for WHEN TO STAY HOME
- a fever of/or greater than 100 F
- a bad cough
- a thick
goopy runny nose
- vomiting
within the last 24 hours
- diarrhea – 3
or more loose stools in a 24 hour period
- sore throat
with swollen lymph glands or fever
- a child that acts ill or extra tired, pale, or lack of appetite
- a rash that is undiagnosed by a physician
Guidelines for WHEN TO RETURN TO SCHOOL
- after 24
hours of no fever over 100 F
- after 24
hours of treatment for strep throat
- with
a note from a doctor, after a rash has been checked and cleared by
a doctor
- after 24 hours of no diarrhea or vomiting
- after all pox with Chicken Pox have crusted over (usually 7 days)
- after treatment at home for scabies and lice, and nits have been removed
