10th Grade Honors Celebration!
On Monday, June 11th, we are having a 10th grade Honors Celebration in the TJ Cafeteria from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Two groups of awards will be presented during the celebration. One set of awards is for academic excellence based on Grade Point Average(GPA). The second set of awards is based on the IB MYP Learner Profile. The IB Learner Profile is a list of ten characteristics we would like all students to exemplify before leaving TJ. The attributes are: principled, open-minded, communicator, reflective, caring, knowledgeable, inquirer, risk-taker, balanced and thinker. These students were nominated by their teachers for exemplifying one or more of the IB Learner Profile attributes . Invitations went out in the mail this week and students were given reminders in class on Thursday, June 7th. Please join us for this special night. If you have a prior commitment and cannot attend the celebration, your student will be given his/her award the next day during school.
