Technology Timeline

Overview:

In 1975 the first microcomputer was introduced. Each year technology changes dramatically. For many students it is difficult for them to comprehend these changes because they occur so quickly and many times go unnoticed. Students do need stories of the past to experience the present, which is the purpose of this technology timeline. This project will allow students to become acquainted with the technological advancements over the past 20 years and their influences on our world.

Objectives

In this activity, students will

1. Sort the technology terms into a chronological timeline.
2. Write a brief description about each term.
3. Publish findings in PowerPoint illustrating the Technology Timeline including a brief explanation of the terms/names. Remember no more then 6 lines per slide and 6 word on each line.
