know?

There are three competency tests all seniors must pass in order to receive a diploma from Thomas Jefferson High School: math, writing and the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS).

All general education seniors must pass the Math Competency test with a score of 75% or higher. The English Competency tests require scores at the 10th grade level or above. Seniors who have not taken or are not passing one or more of these tests will not graduate.

There are limited opportunities to take these tests and seniors should take advantage of every opportunity given.

See Mrs. Hoff in the Math Office in Building E for help with the Math Competency Test, English CTBS, or Writing Competency Tests before or after school.  Also, work with your English teacher.
