Application for Advanced Middle Years Program International Baccalaureate
Totem is a candidate school for MYPIB (Middle Years Program International Baccalaureate) and will our certification visit in May.
The Middle Years Program International Baccalaureate (MYPIB) provides a framework of academic challenge that encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, to become critical and reflective thinkers. MYPIB prepares students to be successful in advanced course work at the high school level.
While all students at Totem experience MYPIB, we are offering an additional advanced route of MYPIB for a select group of our incoming 6th grade gifted students (2013-2014). The Advanced MYPIB is specifically designed to prepare students to enter, and successfully complete the requirements for our most advanced and gifted programs in high school, for example the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Program at Thomas Jefferson, or Cambridge at Federal Way.
