Graduation

Students attending Truman must complete all the Washington State, Federal Way Public Schools, & Truman graduation requirements in order to receive a diploma. 

The class of 2007 is required

  • To pass the WASL in reading and writing or be reading and writing at grade level according to district criteria. 
  • Fulfill Level Expectations of 401
  • Pass Cognitive Tutor Algebra at an average of C or better on all exams.
  • Complete a rigorous Science internship.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Civics, Pacific Northwest History, American History, and World Events.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Health and PE.
  • Occupational Education requirements are fulfilled by Internship hours equivalent to 180.
  • Complete Arts portfolio requirements.

The class of 2008 & 2009 is required

  • To pass the WASL in reading, writing & math.
  • Fulfill 401 Level Expectations
  • Pass Cognitive Tutor Algebra & Geometry at an average of C or better on all exams.
  • Complete several rigorous Science internships.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Civics, Pacific Northwest History, American History, and World Events.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Health and PE.
  • Occupational Education requirements are fulfilled by Internship hours equivalent to 180.
  • Complete Arts portfolio requirements.
  • Complete 13th Year Plan and Culminating Project

The class of 2010 & beyond is required

  • To pass the WASL in reading, writing, math, & science.
  • Pass Cognitive Tutor Algebra & Geometry at an average of C or better on all exams.
  • Complete a rigorous Science internship.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Civics, Pacific Northwest History, American History, and World Events.
  • Complete portfolio requirements for Health and PE.
  • Occupational Education requirements are fulfilled by Internship hours equivalent to 180.
  • Complete Arts portfolio requirements.
