At Career Academy we believe students should have the opportunity to redo assignments, redo projects, and retake assessments. However, we also believe these opportunities are earned and in some cases difficult to reproduce so a redo or retake is not always available. The student is required to follow this criteria should the student wants to redo an assignment, redo a project, or retake an assessment:
- The student must turn in the original assignment, project, or assessment on the due day
- The student may not redo or retake the assignment, project, or assessment any sooner than two school days after the original opportunity
- The student must be ready to demonstrate how they are now better prepared to complete the assignment, project. or assessment
- The student must self-correct the work from the failed assignment, project, or assessment
- The student must schedule a time for the redo or retake that is agreeable with the teacher
- The student must turn in new assignment, project, or assessment attached to the original assignment, project, or assessment
- The student must attempt the redo or retake within 15 school days of original assignment, project, or assessment
Please note:
- End of marking periods may prevent assignments, projects, or assessment from being available for redo or retake
- Some items such as labs are not available for retakes as the activities costly
- Some assignments or assessment which are based on class discussions may not be available for retake
