Mandatory Uniform Policy
Solid Colors: Pants – Navy Blue or Khaki (See descriptions below)
Tops – Navy Blue or White (See descriptions below)
Materials: Cotton, Twill or Corduroy
Not Acceptable:
- No Denim, Sweats, Spandex or Stretch materials.
- No logos on any clothing.
- No T-Shirts (Only Mark Twain logo T-Shirts)
- No tank tops, camisoles, shells or sleeveless, shirts/tops.
- No cargo/carpenter pants or shorts.
- No overalls.
Pants and Shorts:
- No more than one size larger than waist, elastic waistbands are acceptable.
- No more than 4 pockets, with 2 in front and 2 in back.
- Must be hemmed and worn at waist
- Standard straight-legged pants, cannot be wide legged.
- Shorts may not be shorter than one inch above kneecap and no longer than the bottom of the kneecap.
- Holes in the pants are not acceptable.
Polo Shirts, Dress Shirts, Blouses, Turtlenecks and Mock Turtlenecks:
- Long or short sleeve with collar, solid uniform colors; no stripes or lace on collar or sleeves.
- Cotton or polyester-cotton material, no ribbed material.
- Shirts tucked in is encouraged.
- If long sleeved, buttons on sleeves must be buttoned.
Sweatshirts and Sweaters:
- Mark Twain or solid navy blue pullover sweatshirts, must wear collared uniform shirt underneath.
- Cardigan style or pullovers, only solid uniform colors, must wear collared shirt underneath.
Skirts and Skorts:
- No more than one size larger than waist, elastic waistbands are acceptable.
- No slits, designer zippers or pockets.
- Must be hemmed and worn at waist.
- Shorts may be worn under skirts, must be shorter than the skirt, not visible.
- Length with arms down, must be “2 inches” below fingertips to the knee, cannot be worn below the knee.
Jumpers:
- No more than one size larger, must be hemmed.
- No slits.
- Length with arms down, must be “2 inches” below fingertips to the knee, cannot be worn below the knee.
Jackets/Outerwear/Hats/Caps:
- No bandanas.
- Hats, caps, and beanies may be worn outdoors only.
- Hats and caps may be worn forward only when outside.
- Headbands and sweatbands are not allowed on school grounds.
- No jackets or outerwear inside the building, except when authorized by the administration or the teacher.
