Job Description |
| President |
 |
The President leads the Pledge of Allegiance during assemblies and introduces speakers. The President also leads Student Council meetings, and works closely with Mrs. Verhaar and 5th grade teachers to seek approval for activities and events. |
| Vice President |
 |
The Vice President supports the President with assembly and meeting responsibilities. The VP also leads committees. The VP will work closely with Mrs. Verhaar and 5th grade teachers to seek approval for activities and events. |
| Treasurer |
  |
The Treasurer counts and writes receipts for money collected from various fund-raising events, such as candy-grams. He/she also assists our office staff with counting Friday treat money. |
| Secretary |
 |
The Secretary takes notes quickly and accurately during meetings. He or she types up the notes and keeps them in the secretary’s binder. The Secretary reports the minutes of prior meetings to the Council. |
| Activities Coordinators |
   |
The ACs have a lot of energy and creative ideas! They get the student body involved in events that show school spirit. The ACs make accurate and attention-getting posters that advertise these events. They use good handwriting and artistic abilities in this position. |
| Communications Officers |
  |
The COs use their excellent speaking skills as they spread the word about special events to the student body. The COs make morning announcements and visit classrooms to spread the word about activities and events. |
| Photographer Historians |
  |
The Photographer Historians use a camera to keep a visual history of our school year. The PHs also upload pictures onto the computer. They are responsible for taking a variety of pictures of school events for the yearbook and newsletter. The PHs work closely with the journalist to put together articles for the school newsletter. |
| Journalist Historian |
 |
The Journalist Historian uses good writing skills to write articles about school events. These articles are published on the computer and submitted to the office staff to be used in the school newsletter. The JH meets monthly deadlines and works closely with the photographer to get pictures for the articles. |
