Message From the Principal
Our number one priority is helping all of our students meet or exceed state and district standards in all academic areas.
Reading is the foundation of student success and achievement. We work as a community to give each child the best opportunity to reach their potential. One-on-one tutoring and small group instruction is available for students who need extra assistance in reading and/or math. We provide after school classes in mathematics for our students who would benefit from extra help.
By examining the data from a variety of assessments, we can tailor and target lessons to meet the needs of our students.
Woodmont practices a comprehensive student discipline plan, which emphasizes consistency and promotes a positive attitude. This program promotes direct communication between the parents and school staff.
The PTA provides money for enrichment activities, gives scholarships, and sponsors the Read and Lead program. Community and parent volunteers tutor, lead small groups, and read with students.
Woodmont's staff welcomes you to our community of learners. We look forward to working with you and your family this year.
